Iran film 'Hunting Season' bags awards in US

Iran film 'Hunting Season' directed by Dariush Yari has bagged awards from the 2018 Iranian Film Festival-San Francisco in the US.

The festival has awarded Mehran Ahmadi as the Best Actor and Mahya Dehghani has also been recipient of the Best Actress award.

A brief synopsis of the flick reads, "Rana is about to go abroad to play in a concert, but she has to come back to her hometown to save her daughter."

The male award winning stars of the film has been in a number of ifilm series including 'The Sound of Rain', 'Mehrabad', 'Remembrance' and 'Truth Revealed'.

Ahmadi has recently been in Sirous Moqaddam's 'Until Being with sorayya'. He will soon be in another ifilm series-'The Chef'- too.

Also known to ifilmers, Hamed Komeili has also starred in the movie .

Iranian Film Festival (IFF), the first independent Iranian film festival outside of Iran, launched in 2008. It is an annual event showcasing independent feature and short films made by or about Iranians from around the world.

IFF is also a platform for the Iranian filmmakers living around the globe to express their vision and talent through the artistic medium of film.
